The Queensland Government’s $2million investment in the QMEA regional hub program has launched with a series of STEM workshops at three secondary schools in the Mackay, Isaac and Whitsunday region.  

Scientific enquiry and teamwork were on display in Collinsville today, as primary school students battled it out in the annual STEM Proud Robotics Competition.

Students are ending the school year with plenty of powerful ideas participating in a Big Day of STEM workshop during the week.

There was a sea of science enthusiasts in Blackwater this week with over 300 primary students rising to the challenge of a STEM triathlon – completing three challenging activities.

Year 8 science students at Dalby State High School had their lesson provided by the earth around them in a workshop examining geological formations and site rehabilitation.
