SUMMARY:STEM Unearthed @ The Gap State High School
DESCRIPTION:This QMEA STEM Unearthed day will provide Year 10 students from The Gap State High School and Everton Park State High School with an insight into the professional careers in the minerals and energy industry.\nDuring the one day workshop\, students will complete three practical activities which will focus on a number of areas of science\, engineering and maths. These hands-on activities are based on real world activities conducted by minerals and energy professionals.\nThe students will have the opportunity to network with industry professionals who work on minerals and energy worksites andunderstand more about their roles\, their career paths and what theydo.\nBENEFITS FOR STUDENTS\n\n\n\nCareer information about working in the minerals and energy sector\n\n\nIndustry professionals as guest speakers\n\n\nNetworking with those currently in the minerals and energy sector\n\n\nChallenging practical activities with real world applications to the minerals & energy sector.\n\n\nParticipants will be encouraged to take part in further opportunities such as the QMEA Ambassadors program and QMEA Challenge Camps\n\n\n\n
