Skills For The Future Teacher Professional Development

The Queensland resources sector is a highly-innovative and technologically advanced workplace and as such, the students of today will be working in an ever-evolving landscape in the years to come.

Workplaces, and in particular within the resources sector, are becoming more technologically advanced. As a result, skills in data collection and data analytics, as well as skills in critical and analytical thinking, are becoming and are predicted to become increasingly important.

QMEA has worked alongside resources industry professionals to collate skills and employment data related to the future workforce to share with teachers across Queensland.

Prepare your students for the future of work by understanding employment and skill trends across the resources sector. QMEA will also present a range of innovative and interesting case studies relating to the use and advances of technology within the resources sector.

Presented by Sylvia Clarke, Digital Technologies Enrichment Officer with the QMEA, this online webinar will be held twice throughout Term 4, 2021 to increase the flexibility for teachers to attend one of the two sessions.

All sessions will be hosted on the Queensland Department of Education’s OneChannel platform and links to join are below.
