In 2026 the Girls in Resources Leadership Skills (GIRLS) mentoring program will enter its 8th year of successfully engaging Year 12 female students with the resources sector. This unique, six-month program is fully funded and matches students with an industry mentor to provide guidance, advice and confidence to pursue their career goals in the sector. This program is for students interested in professional and trade roles in the sector and will provide you with a great opportunity to grow your skills, knowledge and network.

New in 2026!

In 2026 the program will give participants an additional qualification – with mentees completing a micro-credential on artificial intelligence delivered by the Australian Institute of Management (AIM). This program will give the students a foundation on how AI can be integrated within their studies and future careers in STEM and trade related roles in the sector.
